Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm System Specialist to join our team at Ripped Box Station. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing fire alarm systems for various commercial and residential projects.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring compliance with relevant standards and codes, including NFPA 70, 72, and 101, as well as California Building Codes. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to deliver high-quality designs that meet client expectations.

You will be responsible for developing CAD designs, conducting calculations for system components, and preparing comprehensive submittals for review and approval. Additionally, you will provide consultancy services to support field technicians during the execution and application of designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA standards and California Building Codes;
  • Develop CAD designs and conduct calculations for system components;
  • Prepare comprehensive submittals for review and approval;
  • Provide consultancy services to support field technicians;
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to deliver high-quality designs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field;
  • NFPA certification in Fire Alarm Systems;
  • Proficient in AutoCAD for drafting and layout design;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Able to work professionally with minimal supervision.
