Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the expanding Thermo Fisher Scientific Shared Services, a global leader in its field. As Senior Accounting Operations Specialist, you will join the Record to Report (RtR) Accounting Operations Team. The successful candidate must be deadline driven, with excellent ability to learn and grow. In a corporate, multi-task environment, they must be able to work at pace. Computer literacy and attention to detail are essential.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Intercompany Invoices in a timely and accurate manner resolving any issues
  • Review and clear aged intercompany AR items
  • Agree intercompany AR balances with appropriate counterparty for month-end close
  • Process intercompany netting payments and allocate any payments/receipts on a monthly basis
  • Monthly analysis of goods received but not invoiced (GRNI)
  • Participate in process improvement projects, initiatives, PPI events
  • Support resolution of intercompany out of balances
  • Support requests from external and internal auditors as well as various groups company-wide
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as requested

About This Role:

  • This position requires minimum 2 years experience in RtR Operational Accounting Assistant role, or equivalent
  • A high degree of accuracy is required in performing all aspects of the role
  • Previous experience in a large scale organisation would be beneficial
  • Ability to work well under time constraints
  • Computer literacy, incl. MS Excel
  • Proficient in English
