Job Description:

The Medical Coding Trainer is responsible for conducting education and training programs for new and existing medical coders.

Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements medical coding curriculum and training syllabus.
  • Maintains knowledge of ICD 10 CM, ICD 10 PCS, CPT, HCPCS coding guidelines.
  • Updates existing training modules to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Creates assessments and quizzes to evaluate coder skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborates with the QA Team to resolve issues and improve coding accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • CPC certification from AAPC or CCS certification from AHIMA.
  • Proficient in Revenue Cycle Management, E/M, and Procedure Coding.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible scheduling and willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
