Job Title

Technical Specialist in Project Management is a vital role at our organization, where you will play a key part in overseeing the delivery of routine to moderately complex infrastructure and environmental projects. As a trusted advisor to Client-Partners, you will use your technical expertise to guide decision-making processes within their organizations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and present comprehensive documentation for long-term projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project charters and budgets.
  • Manage project management from initiation to closure for infrastructure and environmental projects, including new construction, recapitalization, and environmental assessment and remediation.
  • Facilitate Client-Partner project approval processes by creating business case analysis, functional space programming, and other necessary documentation.
  • Coordinate stakeholder communications to ensure timely decision making.
  • Participate in procurement planning and prepare tender documents.
  • Coordinate consultant activities.
  • Represent the project director or project manager within delegated signing authority.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ensure quality standards are met according to corporate and Client-Partner expectations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of best practices, methods, trends, and legislation in real property, environmental, and construction services.
  • Proficiency in Client-Partner project management policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of Treasury Board Secretariat policies and procedures.
  • Project and risk management principles.
  • Minimum college diploma in engineering, architecture, or related field with four years' relevant experience.
  • Preferred: university degree in one of the above fields and/or additional training in project management.

Requirements and Compliance
