Job Overview

The Facility Management Specialist is responsible for conducting thorough technical assessments and maintenance surveys at various sites. This role involves evaluating facility infrastructure, equipment, and overall operational readiness.

This nationwide project requires a professional willing to travel and take on assignments at various project sites across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee technical surveys of facilities, ensuring comprehensive assessment of infrastructure, utilities, and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary survey teams, providing direction, assigning tasks, and ensuring accurate and timely data collection.
  • Analyze survey results and develop detailed reports, including actionable recommendations for facility maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, and personnel training requirements.
  • Engage with stakeholders to present findings, validate survey data, and support design review discussions, ensuring alignment with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee documentation and tracking of facility conditions, identifying risks, deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement to support long-term operational sustainability.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PE, LEED) is an advantage.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in facility assessments, infrastructure surveys, and technical evaluations, including hands-on expertise in analyzing facility systems and recommending corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with maritime security infrastructure, including unique requirements of port facilities, coastal surveillance sites, and related operational environments.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Department of Defense facility standards, including design, sustainment planning, and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Excellent project management and leadership skills, with the ability to oversee multiple concurrent surveys and ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex technical data and develop practical recommendations.
