Financial Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accounting Professional to join our team. As an Accounting Professional, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day record keeping, financial reporting, and assisting with client planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills. You will work closely with clients to obtain documentation and other information, ensuring timely delivery and tracking, meeting all milestones.

• Main Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day record keeping used for management reporting and other analytical reports
• Assist in client planning, budgeting, and forecasting
• Preparation of client's monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, month-end close processes, journal entries, monthly reconciliations, financial reporting, etc.
• Work directly with clients to obtain documentation and other information, ensuring timely delivery and tracking, meeting all milestones.

Requirements:

• Graduate of Accounting/Finance/Business/Bookkeeping or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Familiarity with full cycle bookkeeping.
• Comfortable learning new systems/software.
• Knowledge of CRA requirements and filings (HST, WSIB, EHT).
• Experience with cloud-based bookkeeping software is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team-player attitude.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptable, able to multitask and prioritize in a changing environment.
• Ability to work independently with high attention to detail.

About the Role:

• This role involves working with clients remotely.
• You will be required to work independently with minimal supervision.
• A quiet, private workspace at home is essential for this role.
• This role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with cloud-based bookkeeping software is a plus.
