Accounts Payable Clerk Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. As a key member of our financial operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely and accurate transactions, maintaining healthy cash flows, and contributing to the company's financial stability and growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the outflow of financial resources by processing bills, expense reimbursements, and vendor payments.
  • Use BILL to streamline the AP process and maintain accurate records.
  • Review and verify bills, check requests, and payment documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Enforce payment terms and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate vendor records, including contracts and agreements.
  • Prepare and present accounts payable reports to stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve purchase orders, contracts, bills, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
  • Earn credit for outstanding memos and invoices.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of payable accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any potential issues.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Requirements:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Proven working experience as an accounts payable clerk, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Netsuite, and BILL.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
