Accounting Professional Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished accounting professional to perform a variety of routine accounting activities including payroll, general ledger posting, accounts payable and receivable functions, and preparation of various accounting reports and financial statements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including cash flows for multiple clients and industries. They will also be skilled in preparing bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations, reviewing accounts for accurate postings and calculating retained earnings.

In addition to these responsibilities, the accounting professional will assist clients with accounting, payroll, and basic software issues, as well as prepare quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a relevant field is essential
  • US Accounting experience is necessary
  • A strong understanding of US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and practices is required
  • Experience with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred

Please note that this role requires a dedicated home office area, stable internet, and business continuity plan in place.
