Job Opportunity for Financial Planning Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Planning professional to join our team as a Paraplanner.

The role involves providing comprehensive research, analysis, and documentation support to our financial planning team. This includes preparing Statements of Advice (SOAs) and Records of Advice (ROAs), conducting product comparisons, and performing strategy modelling in areas such as superannuation, insurance, and pensions.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with financial planning software, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with senior planners to implement tailored financial strategies for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Comprehensive SOAs and ROAs: Prepare detailed statements of advice and records of advice in line with compliance requirements.
  • Conduct Product Comparisons: Conduct thorough product comparisons and strategy modelling for superannuation, insurance, and pension products.
  • Assist in SMSF Setup: Assist in the setup and structuring of Self-Managed Super Funds (SMSFs) for property investment.
  • Utilize Financial Planning Software: Utilize financial planning software such as Xplan, Midwinter, and AdviserLogic for research and documentation.
  • Work with Senior Planners: Work closely with senior planners to implement tailored financial strategies for clients.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure all financial plans and recommendations comply with regulatory guidelines.
  • Maintain Client Records: Maintain accurate client records and liaise with advisers to refine financial strategies.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a paraplanning role.
  • Financial Planning Principles: Strong understanding of financial planning principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Financial Planning Tools: Proficiency with financial planning tools such as Xplan, Midwinter, and AdviserLogic.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to model financial strategies effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Task Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
