Job DescriptionResponsibilities
  • We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Finance to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the finalization of accounts and financial reporting within defined timelines.
  • Liaising with statutory auditors/internal auditors and ensuring compliance to periodic audits will also be key responsibilities.
  • The successful candidate will represent/co-ordinate with tax agencies/company corporate tax team on all aspects pertaining to taxation.
Control and Compliance
  • Ensuring compliance with Fiscal & Statutory laws will be a critical aspect of this role.
  • The Head of Finance will be responsible for monitoring and complying with the requirements of PEZA, BIR, SEC, etc.
  • Managing and front-end statutory internal as well as external audits will also be a key responsibility.
  • Monitoring compliance of expense policy, highlighting & resolving non-compliance, if any, will be essential.
  • Implementing internal control systems for the Country and ensuring compliance to standards will be a key deliverable.
Strategic Planning
  • The Head of Finance will contribute to the formulation of strategic and tactical planning & budgeting for the Country.
  • Managing the finance department and aligning the functions strategy with internal, external requirements, and company corporate guidelines will be crucial.
  • Managing the Taxation function and reviewing the taxation processes will also be a key responsibility.
Cost Management & Payment Processing
  • The Head of Finance will prepare costing/budget for the process and seek necessary approvals from management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Managing and tracking accurate and timely processing of vendor payments, charge backs, etc., will be essential.
Team Management
  • The successful candidate will manage a team of 3-4 members.
  • Sets reasonable, challenging, and clear performance goals for direct reports, monitors performance, and gives feedback.
  • Motivates team for achieving personal, professional, and team goals through timely guidance.
Qualifications
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 10-12 years of relevant experience and independently managing a Finance department.
  • Expertise in PEZA.
  • Critical Skills/Competence: Risk analysis, Stakeholder Management, Drive for Results, Takes Ownership, Reporting Skills & Team Management.
  • Experience in MNC/global companies - need to be familiar with global/regional practices.
  • Experience in BPO and/or IT industry/companies.
