Linux System Administrator

We are seeking an experienced IT professional to fill a key role in our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all IT work, including firewall and security management from home and office locations.
This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work with a global company and collaborate with various teams to facilitate connectivity, access, and permissions to different applications.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as an IT staff member and proficiency in main Linux OS flavors, such as Red Hat/CentOS 6, 7, 8, and Ubuntu.
In addition, they should have Microsoft Windows administration skills, knowledge of scripting languages like Bash, Python, or Perl, and networking know-how, including Fortigate firewall setup and basic WiFi knowledge.
The successful candidate will also have experience with IT automation using technologies like Ansible, infrastructure maintenance, and server configuration tools.
Prior experience working with development groups as an IT team leader and bug tracking systems like Jira or Bugzilla would be an asset.
The role involves advanced troubleshooting, fiber connectivity, L3 routing (BGP), UDP unicast/multicast, and familiarity with low latency switches, VOIP knowledge, and virtualization and cloud platforms.
