Senior Payroll Deployment Specialist

As a Workday Certified Payroll Consultant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful deployment of Workday solutions to meet the specific needs of clients. This involves architecting, configuring, and testing Workday solutions to meet client requirements.

You will work closely with team members to manage your own workload while also fostering the development of other consultants by sharing expertise. Additional responsibilities include supporting proposal preparations, delivering product demonstrations to clients, and working with confidential client/data conversion teams to help convert legacy data into Workday.

Key aspects of this role include providing expertise in Workday Payroll (including Absence or Time Tracking) product suites, leading deployment teams or coaching others to successfully gather and document client business requirements, design and configure Workday solutions, demonstrate configurations through prototype systems, assist in testing Workday solutions, complete knowledge transfer to clients, and resolve complex tasks/requirements when other team members need support.

• Provide expertise in the Workday Payroll (including Absence or Time Tracking) product suite.
• Lead the following as a member of a deployment team, or coach others to successfully: gather and document client business requirements, design and configure the Workday solution, demonstrate configurations through the development of prototype systems, assist in testing the Workday solution, and complete knowledge transfer to clients
• Work with confidential client/data conversion team to help convert legacy data into Workday
• Assist the integration consulting team in configuring and testing integrations between Workday and other third-party or custom solutions
• Mentor new consultants and serve as a professional role model as well as coach others on product knowledge
• Resolve complex tasks/requirements when other team members need support
• Facilitate clients' intellectual and practical adoption of Workday best practices
• Maintain clients' ongoing satisfaction, ensuring Intecrowd is referenceable and referable once in production
• Provide regular status reports to the project managers keeping them apprised of overall project status
• Innovate and suggest new approaches and tools to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively
• Maintain Workday certifications and qualifications
• Ensure functional solutions are compatible with downstream data translation (assist integrators in configuring/testing integrations between Workday and external systems)
• Demonstrate computational thinking. Identify problem components, analyze patterns, remove inefficient configurations or processes, and construct algorithmic solutions scalable to ongoing client needs
• Contribute to and mold a culture of continuous education amongst your colleagues, mentees, and managers - serve as a professional role model
• Provide insightful status reports to project managers that highlight risks to project health and improvements in client adoption

• 2+ years implementing a combination of Payroll/Absence/Time Tracking (PATT) Solutions
• Current active Workday Payroll Certification
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
• Previous consulting experience with a consulting/software company
• Previous experience configuring and deploying Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP, Ultimate or similar applications
• Demonstrated project management experience
• Functional experience in one or more of the following areas: Payroll, Absence and/or Time Tracking
• Passion for providing exceptional customer service
• Ability to effectively manage against timelines and goals
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities
• Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training
• Experience deploying multiple HCM/Payroll projects simultaneously a plus
• Expected travel is +/-30% depending on project
