Accounting Expert Wanted

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Expert to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax preparation and compliance, as well as strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.


The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, utilizing Intuit ProConnect Tax Software. They will also ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and accounting standards, staying current with relevant regulations and overseeing complex compliance areas.


This role requires excellent leadership and team management skills, as the Accounting Expert will lead and manage a team of tax preparation professionals. They will set performance expectations and monitor team performance, mentor and develop staff at all levels, and report on team performance and strategic goals.


In addition to their technical skills, the successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, with a client-first mindset and excellent communication abilities. They will be comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving, remote-first environment.



Requirements
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of U.S. accounting experience, with a focus on tax preparation and compliance.
  • Proficiency in Intuit ProConnect Tax Software - preferred but not required.
  • Solid understanding of U.S. tax laws and accounting standards.
  • Proven ability to lead and support a team effectively.
  • Strong analytical thinking with a proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
