Job Overview

The primary contact for existing client accounts, this role oversees nexus reviews, permit applications, permit closures, offboarding, tax settings, and new sales channels.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage changes to existing client accounts and move projects through the workflow in a timely manner.
  2. Assist clients and their Sales Tax Accountants with issues related to tax settings, platforms, permits, and offboarding.
  3. Analyze factors to determine nexus obligations; collaborate with Onboarding Specialist to review and present results before client meetings when ready.
  4. Update and test tax collection settings on platforms for permit start/end dates.
  5. Manage permit closures, final billings, paperwork, and system removals; ensure a positive end experience.
  6. Provide support across listed areas to maximize onboarding efficiency.
  7. Primary contact for billing-related changes or issues across all clients.
  8. Identify and implement workflow improvements with the Onboarding Team.
Requirements
  • Strong preference for experience in tax auditing, tax consultancy, or tax advisory.
  • Experience with project management, detailed analysis, and research.
  • Positive references from past supervisors.
  • Sales tax experience is a plus, but not required.
About the Role

This Client Tax Specialist will organize transaction data, compile nexus information (with supervision), update tax software, and oversee the sales tax permit application process, communicating effectively with clients.

You will work directly with clients to address needs or concerns and ensure a positive experience. Over time, you may become a go-to expert for sales tax explanation in plain English. We provide extensive training; attitude and potential are valued over current knowledge.
