Medical Billing Appeals Assistant Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Billing Appeals Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the appeals process, ensuring timely and accurate communication with carriers.

The role involves reviewing appeals for medical necessity, faxing appeals to the appropriate party, and setting reminders to follow up on appeal status. Additionally, the candidate will confirm in-network provider ability to service new members, attend weekly team meetings, and complete assigned tasks.

To be successful in this role, you must have at least 2 years of college education and relevant experience in medical billing, including provider credentialing, authorizations, and reimbursement. You should also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Excel and Word.

Responsibilities:

  • Review appeals for medical necessity
