Database Expert Wanted

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill a Database Expert position at our company. This is a mid-senior level role that requires 4+ years of experience in relational database development, preferably with PostgreSQL.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and evolving relational data models and database architecture. They will also write performant, maintainable PL/pgSQL code to power business logic and data flows, contribute to refactoring and optimization of existing DB structures and processes, collaborate closely with BI, backend, and product teams, implement automated tests and CI/CD pipelines for database development, and help design solutions that extend beyond traditional RDBMS boundaries.

  • Design and evolve relational data models and database architecture
  • Write performant, maintainable PL/pgSQL code to power business logic and data flows
  • Contribute to refactoring and optimization of existing DB structures and processes
  • Collaborate closely with BI, backend, and product teams
  • Implement automated tests and CI/CD pipelines for database development
  • Help design solutions that extend beyond traditional RDBMS boundaries

Our ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of SQL and PL/pgSQL, experience with version control (Git) and modern dev workflows, good understanding of database performance and storage optimization, working knowledge of Linux environment, bonus points for scripting skills (Bash, Python), familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, experience with Docker and microservices is a strong plus, and fluent communication in English (written & spoken).
