Job Title: AI/Machine Learning Expertise Lead

Gartner seeks a Director Analyst to create research and provide advice to clients, supporting the sales force in new sales and client retention. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of AI, Machine Learning, and Data Science.

The research will cover key areas including strategy, best practices, market trends, technologies, and vendors. Strong analytical skills are required to develop deep knowledge of a particular market, industry, or role, understanding both technology and industry, including market, products, and user strategies.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct research and analysis in AI, GenAI, Machine Learning, and Data Science, focusing on strategy, best practices, market trends, technologies, and vendors.
  2. Develop deep knowledge of a particular market, industry, or role, understanding both technology and industry, including market, products, and user strategies.
  3. Cover specified areas and adjacent areas, maintaining a view across a broad spectrum of the market, to produce innovative, thought-leading, impactful, fact-based research.
  4. Identify critical questions facing Gartner clients and craft research methods to address them, providing in-depth analysis based on client input, collaboration with other analysts, and personal experience.
  5. Lead a body of research and be recognized as a subject matter expert, developing a following.
  6. Create and deliver high-value presentations and materials.
  7. Assist the Sales organization in selling and retention on topics covered by the Analyst's team.
  8. Provide high-quality research peer review and mentorship to team members.
  9. Participate in or lead research projects as needed and collaborate effectively with peers.
Requirements:
  1. 10+ years of experience within the technology field, specifically AI/ML.
  2. Relevant qualifications and/or experience preferred.
  3. Technology and business knowledge of end-user strategies, AI/ML market, vendors, and products.
  4. AI/ML model development, deployment, and management.
  5. Application development and use implications of AI.
  6. AI Governance.
  7. AI vendors comparisons, including cloud-based AI services (e.g., Amazon, Google, Microsoft).
  8. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred.
  9. Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable).
