Expert Payroll Consultant

As a certified payroll consultant, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful deployment of Workday solutions for our clients. This position requires strong expertise in payroll and absence/time tracking products, as well as excellent project management skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience implementing combination Payroll/Absence/Time Tracking (PATT) Solutions, with current active Workday Payroll Certification. A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is also required.

This role involves working closely with team members to design and configure Workday solutions, demonstrate configurations through prototype systems, and assist in testing. Additionally, the consultant will be responsible for mentoring new colleagues, fostering a culture of continuous education, and providing exceptional customer service.

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual who can effectively manage against timelines and goals. The ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training is essential for this position.

• Provide expertise in Workday Payroll (including Absence or Time Tracking) product suite.
• Lead client deployments or coach others to successfully gather and document client business requirements, design and configure the Workday solution, demonstrate configurations through the development of prototype systems, assist in testing the Workday solution, and complete knowledge transfer to clients.
• Work with confidential client/data conversion teams to help convert legacy data into Workday.
• Assist integration consulting teams in configuring and testing integrations between Workday and other third-party or custom solutions.
• Mentor new consultants and serve as a professional role model, coaching others on product knowledge.
• Resolve complex tasks/requirements when other team members need support.
• Facilitate clients' intellectual and practical adoption of Workday best practices.
• Ensure ongoing client satisfaction, making Intecrowd referenceable and referable once in production.
• Provide regular status reports to project managers, keeping them apprised of overall project status.
• Innovate and suggest new approaches and tools to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain Workday certifications and qualifications.
• Ensure functional solutions are compatible with downstream data translation, assisting integrators in configuring/testing integrations between Workday and external systems.
• Demonstrate computational thinking by identifying problem components, analyzing patterns, removing inefficient configurations or processes, and constructing algorithmic solutions scalable to ongoing client needs.
• Contribute to and mold a culture of continuous education amongst colleagues, mentees, and managers, serving as a professional role model.
• Provide insightful status reports to project managers that highlight risks to project health and improvements in client adoption.

• 2+ years implementing PATT Solutions.
• Current active Workday Payroll Certification.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Previous consulting experience with a software company.
• Previous experience configuring and deploying Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP, Ultimate, or similar applications.
• Demonstrated project management experience.
• Functional experience in one or more of the following areas: Payroll, Absence, and/or Time Tracking.
• Pasiton for providing exceptional customer service.
• Ability to effectively manage against timelines and goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
• Ability to learn technology quickly through instruction and self-training.
• Experience deploying multiple HCM/Payroll projects simultaneously a plus.
• Expected travel +/-30% depending on project.
