Job Opportunity: Senior Design Manager

Job Description:

The ideal candidate for this senior role will oversee the design team, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of designs to support sales and operations teams.

  • Lead a remote team of designers, managing workflow, quality, and technical accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain design standards for electrical systems, AV equipment, and solar installations.
  • Review designs for constructability, code compliance, and technical soundness.
  • Partner with sales teams to understand client needs and project constraints.
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure designs are practical and installable.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in design team management, electrical systems design, or related technical fields.
  • Strong technical background in electrical systems design, AutoCAD, and specialized software (Aurora, Helioscope, Revit, Visio).
  • Proven ability to manage remote teams, maintain consistent quality standards, and improve team performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, knowledge of US electrical codes (NEC), and construction industry standards.
