Trust Account Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Trust Account Specialist to join our team. This role will involve reviewing and reconciling trust accounts, transactions, and investment holdings to ensure alignment with sound risk management practices, governance standards, and compliance requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of banking/trust products, finance, and investments, as well as excellent analytical, planning, and computer skills.

Responsibilities will include:

• Reconcile trust-related documents by verifying inventory of numbered forms and collateral documents under safekeeping.
• Perform daily and periodic reconciliations of securities holdings, including fixed income, equities, and term deposits, against official records and custodial accounts.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of float items by reporting daily cash and sundry floats and assisting in minimizing unresolved items.
• Validate system functionalities to prevent account closures or redemptions that breach policy; ensure accurate trust fee generation and maintain zero-float status in closed accounts.
• Monitor and ensure accurate valuation of investments in non-marketable equity securities and real property; document related processes.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies by creating reference guides and ensuring consistent application across float types and reconciliations.
• Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and automation in reconciliation activities.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Management or any related field in Finance, and at least 6 months of experience in bank or trust operations.

Candidates should also possess strong knowledge of banking/trust products, finance, and investments, as well as excellent analytical, planning, and computer skills.

About the Role
