The role of the reception team member is to provide exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere in our office.

  • Greet and assist patients with scheduling appointments, recalls, and confirmations.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients in multiple languages, including English and Spanish.
  • Utilize Open Dental software for scheduling and record-keeping purposes.
  • Support daily front office operations to ensure smooth practice flow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm and friendly greeting to all patients.
  • Assist patients with scheduling appointments, recalling patients for upcoming visits, and confirming appointment details.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and maintain up-to-date patient records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients in multiple languages, using clear and concise language.
  • Use Open Dental software to schedule appointments and maintain patient records.
  • Support daily front office operations, including answering phones, managing paperwork, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a dental or medical office setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Open Dental software is an asset.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are necessary to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
