Key Roles and Responsibilities

We're seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our team as a Community Support Engineer. As part of this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent online customer support experience by engaging with customers on various platforms such as the Sophos Community, Reddit, and Twitter.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively resolving customer queries that arrive on the online platforms
  • Monitoring and escalating user issues reported online in a timely manner
  • Amplying urgent product advisories and latest version releases through social media
  • Acting as a technical contact for Techvids to produce informative guides and videos
  • Reviewing, moderating, and verifying community content to ensure technical accuracy and quality
  • Collecting, assessing, and relaying valuable user feedback to drive product improvement

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of IT security concepts
  • Advanced computer skills including but not limited to: ActiveDirectory, SQL, Networking, Microsoft Exchange, VMWare, Linux/Unix, Mac, Microsoft Windows, WindowsServer Administration
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of Security, Cloud, Data protection, Encryption, Malware, Spyware, Cyber Security, Firewalls, Antivirus and Disaster Recovery
  • Experience with installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Windows Desktop and Server operating systems
  • Experience with the remediation of malware/viruses/Trojans
