Tax Professional Job Overview

As a Tax Professional, you will be responsible for handling financial tasks with high accuracy and compliance. You will work closely with clients to deliver exceptional financial solutions from the comfort of your home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurate bookkeeping using accounting software such as Xero
  • Preparation of Financial Statements including Balance Sheets and Profit & Loss statements
  • Preparation of Income Tax Returns in accordance with Australian tax laws
  • Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS) on behalf of clients
  • Reconciliations, journal entries, work paper preparation, spreadsheet analysis to ensure accurate financial records
  • Preparing letters and draft emails to communicate with clients
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role with AU experience required
  • Familiarity with Xero, XPM, Workpapers, and Spotlight is an advantage
  • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of ATO services
  • Highly organized with ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and drive improvements
  • Strong computer literacy with experience in accounting and workflow management programs an advantage
  • Experience with Cloud applications
