Job Summary:

This is a remote position that requires an experienced Australian tax professional with a proven track record and XERO Certification.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing financial data, including accuracy of coding
  • Preparing annual financial statements for various entity structures
  • Completing annual tax returns within business timeframes
  • Assisting with bookkeeping duties and BAS lodgment where required
Required Skills:
  • Australian taxation and accounting experience is essential
  • 6 years' experience in public practice or accounting firms offering Australian taxation services is required
  • Knowledge and experience in accounting for companies, partnerships and trusts, including preparation of financial statements and annual tax returns
  • Strong working experience with Xero, XPM and other various accounting systems
  • Xero Certified is necessary
  • Sound understanding of the Australian GST system (including BAS and IAS)
  • Preferred skills include Office 365, Karbon, and SuperMate experience
  • Qualified Accountant/CPA highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must have great attention to detail, accuracy and ability to follow process/system
  • Must be proactive, highly organised and self-motivated
  • Motivated to continue learning and progressing in their career
