This highly respected educational institution is seeking an Intervention Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the educational, behavioral, and social needs of students eligible for special education and related services.

Job Description:

The Intervention Specialist will be responsible for planning and implementing individualized programs to meet the unique needs of each student. This includes developing and implementing behavior improvement plans, conducting diagnostic assessments, and facilitating IEP meetings. Additionally, the Intervention Specialist will work collaboratively with classroom teachers to develop and implement effective instructional strategies.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement individualized programs to meet the unique needs of each student
  • Develop and implement behavior improvement plans
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and functional behavior assessments
  • Facilitate IEP meetings and write IEP goals and objectives
  • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to develop and implement effective instructional strategies
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and staff. A strong understanding of State Standards and Common Core Standards is also essential. Experience working in a full room inclusion type model or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model is preferred.
