Part-time Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized part-time Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will have experience in accounting or finance, with a strong understanding of billing, AP/AR, and reconciliation processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Billing & Invoicing: Generate and issue customer invoices accurately and on time. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and maintain proper documentation of all billing records.
  • Accounts Payable: Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Manage payment schedules and ensure timely disbursement.
  • Accounts Receivable: Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and payments. Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments. Prepare aging reports and escalate overdue accounts.
  • Debt Follow-Up: Contact clients with overdue invoices via phone, email, or official letters. Maintain a log of collection activities and customer communications.
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, ledgers, and sub-ledgers. Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as proficiency in accounting software and intermediate to advanced Excel skills.

About the Role:

This is a part-time position with a US offshore recruitment arrangement and work-from-home flexibility. The successful candidate will be expected to work Monday - Friday (8pm-12mn).

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
  • Solid understanding of billing, AP/AR, and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
