About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Professional to lead our accounts payable function. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities include processing purchase orders, vendor invoices, and payments in accordance with company policies. The successful candidate will also reconcile AP transactions, maintain accurate vendor records, and collaborate with purchasing teams to resolve discrepancies.

In addition, the Senior Accountant will support month-end close activities, prepare accruals, reconciliations, and reports, and assist in audits by providing required schedules, reports, and supporting documents.

  • Process Purchase Orders and Invoices: Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders, vendor invoices, and payments.
  • Reconcile Accounts Payable Transactions: Reconcile AP transactions, vendor statements, and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain Vendor Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing Teams: Collaborate with purchasing teams and vendors to resolve discrepancies and exceptions.
  • Support Month-End Close: Assist in preparing accruals, reconciliations, and reports for month-end close.
  • Assist in Audits: Provide required schedules, reports, and supporting documents to assist in audits.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in US accounting, with hands-on experience with ERP systems and skilled in Microsoft Excel.

Required Qualifications:

  • Hands-on Experience with ERP Systems: Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Coupa.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel: Skilled in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP, and reconciliations.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and Financial Close Processes: Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial close processes.
  • Experience Preparing Reports and Reconciliations: Experience preparing reports, reconciliations, and audit documentation.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to Manage Multiple Deadlines: Ability to manage multiple deadlines in dynamic work settings.
