External Application Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Application Support Specialist to provide 2nd line support and maintain external applications.
- Proactive management of business critical real-time systems, identifying issues and potential problem areas.
- Interacting with internal IT functions and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents.
- Actively identifying incidents and managing the incident resolution process, providing service recovery while communicating with clients.
- Knowledge of Electronic Trading Systems, database interrogation, and manipulation.
- Understanding of FIX Protocol, Trade Life Cycle (STP), and risk knowledge/P&L experience.
- Experience in supporting Production Applications on Unix and Windows environments.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Supporting Front Office Trading Applications, Middle Office, Back Office, and Settlements systems.
- Managing trading system, middle office, and back office system upgrades, including testing and implementation.
Technical Requirements:
- Microsoft Applications (Windows Server/Client).
- UNIX / LINUX.
