Embedded Linux Solutions Engineer

As an Embedded Linux Solutions Engineer, your day will be filled with opportunities to engage customers during presales, gathering requirements and explaining technology solutions.
You will elaborate proposals for prospective clients, participate in the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux, convey market requirements to stakeholders and contribute to the development or refinement of generic solutions.
What makes this role exciting is the ability to travel up to 30% of the time for customer meetings, company events, and conferences.
We are looking for candidates who are accomplished Linux engineers proficient with distribution packaging, software design, system debugging, and bringing customer ideas to life.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging customers during presales to gather requirements and explain Canonical technology
- Elaborating solutions to be proposed to prospective clients
- Participating in the delivery of select projects related to Embedded Linux
- Conveying market requirements to key stakeholders and contributing to the development or refinement of generic solutions
- Being both a customer advocate and a trusted advisor to Canonical
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, fluent in Mandarin, and willing to travel regularly.
Requirements include extensive Linux experience, distribution/packaging expertise, solid embedded Linux knowledge, fluency in at least one programming language, excellent communication and presentation skills, and result-oriented multitasking abilities.
