Social Rehabilitation Specialist

As a Social Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals within the community under various supervision orders. Our organisation is committed to delivering high-quality case management services that cater to the unique needs of each individual.

Key Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for providing comprehensive case management services, focusing on safety, risk assessment, and rehabilitation. Your expertise will enable you to effectively support individuals in achieving their goals and reintegrating into the community.
  • Assessing risk and need will be a crucial aspect of your role, ensuring that interventions are tailored to meet the specific requirements of each individual.
  • By working collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and organisations, you will contribute to culturally informed practices and help address the over-representation of Indigenous people within the criminal justice system.
Requirements
  • A valid driver's licence (minimum C class Australian licence) is mandatory for travel across various locations. This will enable you to efficiently conduct home visits and other outreach activities.
  • Your flexibility is essential, as you may be required to work outside normal hours and travel to alternative locations or temporarily work from another site.
  • To excel in this role, you must possess a Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (Community), which you will be required to complete either on a permanent or temporary basis.
