Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Shape our IT strategy, enhance project methodologies, manage resources, and ensure successful delivery, driving innovation and excellence.
  • Project Portfolio Management: Accountable for the delivery of all IT projects across the Group in close collaboration with IT and Delivery Managers.
  • Methodology Development: Responsible for the establishment, management, and continuous improvement of a project methodology incorporating structures, standards, processes, documentation, tools, and reporting.
  • Resource Allocation: Set project planning standards to determine the resources and schedule required to deliver strategies, and facilitate a process to allocate budget and human resources to the portfolios.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure successful delivery of IT programmes and projects by providing oversight, review, and quality assurance, measured through KPIs.
  • Project Transition: Ensure all projects are supportable, have a clear support model structure, and are appropriately transitioned to the Delivery and Operations team.
  • Business Case and Review: Make sure that every project has an approved business case, and a post-implementation review is conducted timely to assess value creation of projects.
  • Direct Project Management: Where required, directly manage projects as a project manager.
  • Methodology Adaptation: Lead the organisation to adapt different project management methodologies such as agile, devops, scrum, or waterfall as appropriate in project implementations.
  • IT Budget Planning: Overall responsible for IT budget planning and management of IT expenditures.
  • Team Development: Responsible for the development and retention of a highly motivated and skilled team.
  • Deputy to CITO: Act as deputy to the Chief Information and Technology Officer as and when necessary.
