Warehouse and Yard Management Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse and Yard Management Expert to join our team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient management of warehouses and yards, ensuring that all material deliveries, storage, and issuance are handled in a timely and organized manner.


Responsibilities:
  • Warehouse Team Management: You will lead a team of warehouse staff, including storekeepers, warehouse assistants, and material controllers. Your duties will include preparing team schedules, conducting daily briefings and weekly meetings, and preparing team action plans in Excel.
  • Preparation Works: You will oversee the preparation of warehouses and yards, ensuring that all storage facilities are operational, secured, and safe. This includes sourcing external warehouses, yards, equipment rental, and suppliers for unloading. You will also update the Supplier documentation tracker daily and coordinate with the Site team to ensure that all storage and handling manuals, packing lists are available and acceptable.
  • Deliveries & Inspections: You will coordinate with Logistics, Suppliers, Civil partner, and Storekeepers to prepare deliveries at Site. You will manage unloading activities and storage of materials, assist Storekeepers as required, and witness all deliveries, counter-check packing lists and delivery receipts.
  • Preservation: You will ensure the proper storage, security, and preservation of all equipment, bulk materials, and consumables. You will conduct regular rounds in the warehouse, external warehouses, yards, stores, and laydown areas and update the tracker on a weekly basis.
  • Material Issuance and Handover: You will prepare material handover for subcontractors, secure approval from subcontractors, and prepare tool handover to internal staff.
  • Monitoring of Warehousing Documentation: You will review weekly the warehousing documentation (material tracker, MRF, etc) and provide deviations to the team Leader and/or Manager. You will also conduct weekly inspections in warehouse and yards to ensure proper storage, labeling, safety, etc.
  • Reporting: You will prepare weekly reports (percentage of material delivered, storage areas allocation, photo records, etc) and update SharePoint folders weekly.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-8 years' experience in warehouse and yard management in the construction industry.
  • Experience in the water/wastewater treatment sector is a plus.
  • Able to supervise warehouse team.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented.
  • Highly skilled in Excel.
  • Good communication (written and verbal), reporting, and presentation skills.
  • Capable of working under minimal supervision and able to deliver outputs with good quality.
  • Has strong sense of ownership in deliverable preparation.
  • Good team player.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Focused and goal-oriented.
