Role Overview
The Chinese Program Director is responsible for spearheading the development and implementation of the school's Chinese program. This entails overseeing and guiding Chinese teachers in various departments to enhance curriculum design and updates.
Main Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and periodically evaluate comprehensive curriculum plans for the Chinese program.
- Cultivate partnerships with external entities such as the Confucius Institute for teacher training, regular assessments, and performance evaluations.
- Provide guidance and support to Chinese teachers in their professional roles.
- Promote Chinese language and cultural exchange through community events and activities.
Necessary Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in any 4-year course or a diploma/certificate in Teaching Chinese Language.
- Proficiency in both oral and written Chinese at a high level.
- Mastery of Education, Educational Management, or relevant fields with a minimum of 18 units of credit.
