A key position in our Finance team is available for a diligent and organized accounting professional.

  • The role will involve maintaining accurate and timely financial records and reporting to support business operations.

Key responsibilities of the position include performing bookkeeping and accounting tasks, including journal entries, bank and credit card reconciliations, and monthly and quarterly reporting. You will also function as part of the Finance team to ensure financial processes are accurate and organized. In this role, you will be expected to work closely with the Finance team to provide timely and accurate financial information to support business decisions.

Accounting Operations

Some of the specific tasks you will perform as an Accounting Associate include:

  • Download and review prior-day bank transactions, creating corresponding journal entries in Sage.
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Download and save monthly bank statements in designated folders.
  • Manage credit card program for Apex and Nexus
  • Complete monthly reconciliation for credit cards
  • Complete monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Support general bookkeeping and accounting procedures, ensuring timely data entry and reconciliation.
  • Safekeep all financial documents and ensure organized filing of accounting records.
  • Execute clerical and administrative tasks related to accounting, as needed.
  • Provide additional support to management during audits or other busy times.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's / College Degree in Accounting or any related field.
  • Preferably with 1 - 2 years of accounting experience.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to maintain professionalism under pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge of accounting software (experience with Sage is a plus).
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Knowledge of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
