Software Developer Position

About this role: We are looking for a skilled software developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in JavaScript and Node.js, with experience in implementing backend features and functionality.

The selected individual will work closely with our lead developer/co-founder to design, develop, and deploy high-quality code that meets established conventions and patterns.

  • Design, implement, and test backend services and features using Node.js and JavaScript
  • Follow established coding conventions, patterns, and architectural guidelines
  • Conduct thorough manual QA and testing of implemented features before submission
  • Collaborate with the lead engineer to ensure seamless integration with existing systems
  • Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to our engineering standards
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with JavaScript and Node.js
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to code quality
  • Excellent ability to follow established coding styles and conventions
  • Proven track record of implementing features based on written requirements and specifications
  • Experience with manual QA and testing methodologies
  • Strong reading comprehension and the ability to ask clarifying questions
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
  • Self-motivated and effective in a remote-work environment
