Quality Assurance Specialist

  • Create detailed test cases and plans to ensure thorough testing of software products.
  • Analyze software requirements, specifications, and technical designs to identify potential issues.
  • Detect, document, and track software defects using defect tracking systems.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not compromised by new changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide input on project requirements and testability.
  • Participate in design reviews to offer feedback from a QA perspective.
  • Communicate test results, status reports, and defect metrics to the QA Manager and development team.
  • Mentor junior QA specialists and stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manual software testing.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in creating detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
  • Experience with defect tracking tools such as JIRA or similar.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
