Position Overview:

The Internal Audit Lead will work as an individual contributor and be part of the audit services team responsible for executing SOX and operational audits. This role requires a seasoned professional with experience in financial and operational auditing, risk management, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute internal audit plans to assess the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and governance processes.
  • Perform financial and operational audits in accordance with the annual internal audit program, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations to senior management.
  • Review organizations' operations, processes, and controls for compliance with established internal policies and procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Make recommendations to address identified control gaps and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls.
  • Report audit findings and recommendations to senior management based on the results of regularly scheduled audits, non-scheduled audits, and at any time when issues need to be addressed by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant work experience required, including experience in public accounting or within an internal audit in industry.
  • CPA/CMA/CIA certification preferred.
  • Experience working with larger multinational companies would be a significant plus.
  • In-depth understanding of supply chain processes and inventory management.
  • Data analytics experience and capabilities a plus.
  • Good understanding of COSO, GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to define deliverables, create and monitor budgets, and project plans, manage resources and specialists for project teams.
