Job Title: Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Developer

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst and Business Intelligence Developer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, business intelligence, and software development. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions, including dashboards and interactive reporting tools.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions, including dashboards and interactive reporting tools.
  • Partner with business users, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that business intelligence solutions meet the needs of the organization.
  • Develop, test, and maintain BI dashboards using approved BI tools.
  • Utilize UI/UX best practices to craft visualizations and present clear information about business results.
  • Responsible for training business users, junior members, and the organization on the use of visualization tools.
  • Provide and maintain user access, report connections, and troubleshooting required for dashboards.
  • Create technical documents such as solution design, program specifications, and other required documentation in the SDLC process.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends and recommend and implement new technologies and approaches to improve data engineering processes.
  • Ensure compliance with governance standards of the platform, security policies, and SDLC processes.
  • Perform Proof of Concept on new BI Tools and analytic solutions.
  • Contribute to best practices and standards for the data analytics and reporting team.
  • Execute updates, patches, and other activities required to maintain and enhance the operations of the environment as needed.
  • Manage and ensure quality delivery of 3rd-party vendors where applicable.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in developing BI solutions preferably from a bank or financial institution.
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack: PowerBI, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS.
  • Experience using DAX, PowerQuery, and SQL.
  • Experience in Data Modeling and Data Model normalization.
  • Knowledge in data integration, warehousing, ETL, cloud data platforms.
  • Strong data storytelling and visualization skills.
