Job Opportunity: Experienced Tax Accountant

We are seeking an accomplished tax accounting professional to manage complex compliance and advisory services. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to Australian tax regulations, provide high-quality service to clients, and manage client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review individual, corporate, trust, partnership, and SMSF tax returns.
  • Ensure compliance with ATO regulations and deadlines.
  • Manage and coordinate tax audits and notices.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients.
  • Research and interpret tax laws and regulations.
  • Advise clients on tax-efficient structures and transactions.
Compliance & Reporting:
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and industry developments.
  • Prepare and present tax reports to management and clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements as they relate to tax matters.
Software Experience:
  • Xero
  • MYOB
  • QuickBooks
  • BGL
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA or CA qualification is a plus but not required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in tax accounting within a public accounting firm.
  • Strong understanding of Australian tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
