Senior QA Automation Lead Job Description

This is a leadership role for a senior quality assurance professional to lead the quality assurance strategy across teams, ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our web and software products.

You will be responsible for leading the quality assurance team in defining and implementing testing strategies, frameworks, and best practices across all projects. You will also drive test planning, prioritization, and execution of both manual and automated testing across frontend, backend, and mobile systems.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years experience in both manual and automation testing, and at least 1 year experience in leading a team. Development and execution of test plans and scenarios, experience in writing automated tests in Selenium, Cypress, and Appium, Robot Framework, testing complex GUIs, APIs, and platforms, source control management like Git, Bitbucket, etc.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading the quality assurance team in defining and implementing testing strategies, frameworks, and best practices across all projects.
  • Driving test planning, prioritization, and execution of both manual and automated testing across frontend, backend, and mobile systems.
  • Mentoring QA engineers and fostering a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous learning within the quality assurance team.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate quality assurance processes seamlessly into the development lifecycle and release workflows.
