As a seasoned accounting professional, you will play a vital role in our organization.

The Accounting Specialist is responsible for performing routine accounting activities, including payroll, general ledger posting, accounts payable and receivable functions, and preparation of various financial reports and statements. These activities encompass preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including cash flows for multiple clients and industries, as well as bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing financial statements and cash flow projections for clients across diverse industries
  • Ensuring accurate postings to general ledgers and reconciling balance sheet accounts with supporting data
  • Reviewing account postings and calculating retained earnings
  • Providing support on accounting, payroll, and software issues to clients
  • Preparing quarterly and year-end payroll tax returns and assisting with audit departments
  • Preparation of annual information returns (1099 & 1096) and sales and use tax returns
  • Identifying opportunities to offer additional services to current clients
  • Maintaining fixed asset records and updating depreciation schedules
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant field
  • US Accounting experience required
  • Strong understanding of US generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport, and work effectively in remote teams
  • Detail-oriented, timely delivery under tight deadlines, and effective task prioritization

Remote Work Requirements: A dedicated home office area with minimum internet speed of 50-100 Mbps and power backup is mandatory.
