Job Overview

Key responsibilities of this role include coordinating and assisting with recurring outputs and reports. The Business Finance Senior Analyst will assist the Financial Reporting Analyst, Specialist, and Leads in delivering reports timely and efficiently.

The Regulatory and Risk Reporting Support function ensures consistency across all reporting in accordance with relevant accounting standards. This involves partnering with various stakeholders to collect necessary information for reporting purposes.

The Business Finance group plays a critical control function in ensuring integrity, completeness, and accuracy of financial books and records. Product Control is an integral part of finance that provides transparent valuation and regulatory control to avoid reputational damage.

This role requires understanding the financial impact of trades from analysis of Risks and Profit & Loss up to substantiation of Balance Sheets. It creates connectivity between finance processes and Front Office functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily oversight of P&L production for trading books considering risk positions, market movements, new trades, and economic influences.
  • Responsible for team performance of key controls supporting timely closure of Bank's books and records at daily and month-end, maintaining financials integrity through monitoring, review, and controlling.
  • Work closely with trading desks, market risk, valuation units, regulators, and auditors.
  • Gain exposure to investment banking products, allowing understanding of revenue generation mechanisms.
  • Drive engagement in innovation and strategic platforms to optimize process performance.
  • Perform people management and administrative tasks involving people development and engagements.
Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Economics, Accountancy, Business, or Management.
