About the Role

As a software developer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing cutting-edge financial systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering end-to-end solutions that meet our clients' needs.

The successful candidate will participate in the development and support of multiple client-facing and internal business systems, working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop desktop applications using Progress OpenEdge
  • Develop and maintain web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries (React, Next.js)
  • Deliver solutions as per business requirements and collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements
  • Provide technical support for existing internal systems and contribute to Citco initiatives around automation and digital transformation

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT, with a focus on design and development of enterprise applications, databases, and web applications
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript/React development, including GUI and Webspeed interfaces, Classic or PAS Appserve, and source control procedures and systems (Git)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to thrive in demanding environments, and self-initiation and leadership skills are essential
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban, and excellent documentation, communication, and collaboration skills are highly desirable

Desirable Skills

  • Knowledge of REST APIs, web services, and queues
  • Familiarity with build and deployment tools, such as Jenkins, Octopus, and similar
  • Experience with Python, AWS, and AI solutions
  • Database administration skills, including OE Database Admin, Transparent Data Encryption, and database performance tuning
