Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Program Specialist for WASH initiatives.

The ideal candidate will inform the design, development, and implementation of water, sanitation, and hygiene projects across the organization, contributing to technical strategies through a multi-sectoral approach.

Key responsibilities include maintaining personal relationships with Jesus Christ, advocating for children's needs, upholding cultural behaviors, and promoting capacity development among national office specialists.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, 10+ years of experience working in this field, and strong project planning and management skills.

A master's degree in a related field and advisor-level experience in a developing country are highly desirable.

Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and uphold a Christ-like attitude in interactions with others.
  • Act as an advocate for children's needs and prioritize child protection considerations in all decision-making.
  • Uphold Compassion's core cultural behaviors.
  • Provide technical guidance for effective WASH project implementation and quality globally.
  • Promote capacity development among national office specialists and facilitate learning exchange opportunities.
  • Represent Compassion International and present WASH technical programs at relevant forums.
  • Write technical components for proposal development and offer subject matter expertise in WASH strategy development.
  • Collaborate with other Global Design Specialists in designing WASH solutions for disaster contexts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or a related field.
  • Master's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience working in this field or a similar position.
  • Advisor-level experience in a developing country is desirable.
  • Strong project planning and management skills.
  • Experience in budget preparation and report writing is a plus.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.
