Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Android Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our mobile app.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with experience building and maintaining complex Android applications. They will be responsible for designing and implementing key features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the highest level of quality and performance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement major features and collaborate with design teams to deliver high-quality user experiences.
  • Contribute to product decisions and shape the future of our Android app.
  • Own, maintain, and improve reliability metrics for key features.
  • Participate in cross-team discussions and review pull requests.
  • Handle critical issues and unexpected challenges.
  • Take ownership of feature releases and provide nightly builds for the QA team.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Familiarity with Android components and experience building or contributing to at least one Android app.
  • Product design intuition and user empathy.
  • Drive to push the boundaries of Android UI/UX.
  • Understanding of testing and how to write tests.
  • Self-drive to improve the app and codebase beyond the spec.
  • Strong experience with Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Dagger 2, MVVM, Clean Architecture, Background Services, Android Animations, Jetpack Navigation, JUnit tests.
  • Excellent communication skills and a user-oriented problem-solving approach.

Bonus Requirements
  • Experience building, maintaining, or contributing to open source projects in Android.
  • Experience with iOS, Web, or NodeJS.
