Job Posting: Web Engineering Manager

We are seeking an accomplished Web Engineering Manager to collaborate with various teams and roles across the organisation. Your primary objective will be to develop reliable, scalable, and delightful user experiences for users of our products.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Contribute directly to your team's goals by applying sound engineering principles.
  • Estimate work, set targets, and meet them efficiently.
  • Design and implement well-tested and documented software in web technologies or Flutter.
  • Debug and resolve issues encountered by your users.
  • Participate in our engineering process through code and architectural reviews.
  • Collaborate with community members and colleagues on technical specifications.
  • Enhance technical documentation to make it exceptional.
  • Seek improvements to engineering and operations practices.
  • Deploy and operate services developed by the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • You possess expertise and passion for web and software development.
  • You value soft skills and are passionate, enterprising, thoughtful, and self-motivated.
  • You have an excellent academic track record from both high school and university.
  • You hold an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or a related field, or you have a compelling narrative about your alternative path.
  • You have drive and a track record of going above and beyond expectations.
  • You are well-organised, self-starting, and able to deliver according to schedule.
  • You possess a professional manner in interacting with colleagues, partners, and community members.
  • You have experience designing and writing high-quality web technologies.
  • You are experienced with and passionate about Typescript, React, or Flutter.
  • You have an eye for accessibility and performance.
  • You possess professional written and spoken English.
  • You have experience working with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).
  • You have excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
  • You are passionate, thoughtful, and self-motivated.
  • You possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • You are result-oriented, with a personal drive to meet commitments.
  • You are able to travel twice a year for company events, each lasting up to two weeks.
