Key Responsibilities

Clinical Data Abstractors will be responsible for the effective abstraction and extraction of clinical data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established guidelines.

  • Abstract and extract relevant clinical data from patient records, medical charts, and other documents.
  • Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and transcripts to ensure accurate data collection and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex data discrepancies.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • 3-6 years of experience in a related field, preferably with a background in healthcare or laboratory settings.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or technical certification in a related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledgeable in healthcare-related computer applications, including practice management and electronic health record systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Working Conditions

Clinical Data Abstractors will work independently within established procedures, receiving general guidance on new assignments as needed. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt to constantly changing circumstances while maintaining a professional perspective.
