Job Title: European Finance Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting our business growth and development.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to work closely with the Finance Director and other stakeholders. They will be responsible for reviewing accuracy of business cases submitted by initiative owners, communicating with all initiative owners around actuals tracking, and supporting initiative owners in forecasting, budgeting and assessing risks and recommending a plan to build gaps.

In addition, they will create reporting around variance analysis on a monthly or potentially weekly basis, contribute in other financial activities such as monthly accounting close & reporting process, and support finance's standing goal to continuously improve the quality, efficiency and value of financial information produced, via financial tools such as Wave, operational efficiencies, and automation.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years post qualification experience working in financial analysis, accounting, or similar, with a Bachelor's degree in financial analysis, accounting, management consulting or similar. Strong business partnering experience, advanced excel skills, and a proven track record in financial analysis and modeling are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review accuracy of business cases submitted by initiative owners in the Wave project platform.
  • Communicate with all initiative owners around actuals tracking (financially), and heavy assistance with KPI / Milestones tracking.
  • Support initiative owners in forecasting, budgeting and assessing risks and recommend a plan to build gaps.
  • Create reporting around variance analysis on a monthly or potentially weekly basis.
  • Contribute in other financial activities such as monthly accounting close & reporting process.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years post qualification experience working in financial analysis, accounting, or similar.
  • Bachelor's degree in financial analysis, accounting, management consulting or similar.
Desirable Skills:
  • Ability to work in the Irish/UK time zone.
  • Business partnering experience.
  • Advanced excel skills.
  • A proven track record in financial analysis and modeling.
