Linux System Administrator Opportunity

A dynamic role for a skilled system administrator to join our team and work on Ubuntu Linux Servers.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Linux System Administrator to provide top-notch support in our 24/7 production environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Linux systems and services, identifying issues promptly, and collaborating with colleagues to resolve them efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily maintenance tasks, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise.
  • Triage and resolve problems quickly, escalating when necessary, to minimize downtime and ensure service continuity.
  • Investigate alerts, coordinate responses, document resolutions, and communicate effectively with the team to maintain excellent collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in production Linux system administration, preferably with Ubuntu or Debian.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities to interact with the team and stakeholders.
  • Able to work flexible schedules, including early morning, evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts, to accommodate our 24/7 production needs.
  • Familiarity with bash scripting and understanding of GoLang and Perl programming languages.
  • Experience managing user accounts, configurations, and package management best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Proxmox or similar Linux KVM hypervisors and familiarity with networking concepts, routing, and firewall rule configuration.
  • Proficiency in Apache, Nginx, Haproxy, Mysql, Redis, Memcache, Scylladb, Elasticsearch, Rabbitmq, Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana, Proxmox, Bash, Perl, Go, Php, Ceph, Cfengine, Git, Docker, and Juniper technologies is a plus.
