Medical Transcriptionist Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Medical Transcriptionist to provide essential support to our ophthalmology specialists during patient consultations. Your role will involve accurately documenting encounters in real-time, streamlining clinical workflow, and ensuring the integrity of medical records.

  • Accompany eye care professionals during virtual or in-person consultations to capture interactions with patients.
  • Enter notes into Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems using Windows-based software while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
  • Organize and manage substantial volumes of medical files securely on a personal PC.
  • Identify and clarify inconsistencies in visual examination documentation and diagnostic data.
  • Maintain templates for eye exams, surgical consultations, and follow-up appointments.
  • Assist healthcare providers by optimizing administrative and documentation tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, OneNote) for documentation and file tracking.
  • Able to navigate EHR platforms, including Compulink, RevolutionEHR, or similar eye-care systems.
  • Strong understanding of ophthalmologic terminology, including refraction, tonometry, fundus exam, and more.
  • Excellent typing speed and attention to detail.
  • Prior experience in transcription or medical scribing is highly valued.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work discreetly.
